Tweezerfile is a compact, hand-held tweezer sharpener. It restores the grip of tweezers that have gone dull, so you can keep using the pair you already own instead of buying a new one.

How do I sharpen tweezers with Tweezerfile?

Hold the Tweezerfile in one hand and grip its blade with your tweezers. Slide the tweezers up and down, applying equal, gentle pressure to the top and bottom tips. Wipe the tips clean and test the grip on a single hair or a piece of tissue.

Does tweezer sharpening really work?

Yes, when the problem is dull or worn tips, which is the most common reason tweezers stop gripping. Sharpening will not fix bent arms, badly misaligned tips or rust. In those cases a replacement is the better choice.

How do I know if my tweezers are dull or need replacing?

Dull tweezers slip off fine hairs, need extra pressure, or pinch skin without picking the hair up. If the tips still meet cleanly but grip poorly, sharpening should help. If the arms are bent, the tips no longer line up or the metal is rusty, replace them.

How often should I sharpen my tweezers?

There is no fixed schedule. Sharpen them whenever you notice them slipping or missing short hairs. Light, occasional use is usually enough, and heavy use may call for it more often.

Is it hygienic to sharpen tweezers?

Yes, if you keep things clean. Wipe your tweezers with isopropyl alcohol before and after sharpening, wipe the Tweezerfile blade too, and avoid sharing tweezers between people.

Is Tweezerfile worth it compared with buying new tweezers?

A Tweezerfile costs £19.99 once and can be used on every pair of tweezers you own, so it pays for itself if it saves you from replacing even a few pairs. It also keeps good-quality tweezers out of the bin.
